Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, issued a stark warning to traditional financial institutions during his visit to Dubai. "Banks have about a decade left unless they catch up with blockchain," he stated, describing legacy systems as "broken," "slow," and "expensive."
In a CNBC interview, Trump positioned decentralized finance as an inevitable upgrade, claiming blockchain outperforms existing infrastructure. "There’s nothing that can be done on blockchain that can’t be done better than current financial institutions," he asserted, framing the technology as existential for banks rather than optional innovation.
